Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide studied as a selective agonist of the growth hormone secretagogue receptor, also known as the ghrelin receptor or GHSR-1a. Its receptor selectivity makes it a useful single-compound reference for experiments that separate ghrelin-pathway signalling from GHRH-analogue activity.
