GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper-binding tripeptide (Gly-His-Lys) with a 40-year research literature. The defining property of GHK-Cu is the copper ion: bound at the histidine site, copper drives gene-expression changes in dermal models that the bare peptide cannot reproduce.
